💻 more content
✍🏽 more courses
💳 more of your money
⌛ more of your time
Uncensored Intel is the exact opposite.
I built Uncensored Intel for female entrepreneurs who are done wasting time + money. This blog is designed to free up your time + save you money.
You've been working. You've been showing up. You've been posting. You've been networking. You've been learning. You've probably bought a few courses, attended some webinars, downloaded a handful of free resources, rewritten your bio approximately 73 times, and contemplated throwing your laptop into the fire at least once.
And yet... The money isn't matching the effort.
That's bad luck, right? “Luck” is often the label we put on a business problem we haven't properly diagnosed and that's fixable. Woo Hoo!
What if you're not unlucky? What if your business isn't connected to the things that create revenue? That's a very different problem, and a much more useful one. If you're unlucky, you need a four-leaf clover. If you're misaligned, you need a strategy.
At FeMetis, one of the foundational beliefs is that female entrepreneurs need intentional, customized strategies based on their business, their market, and their goals. That's where things get interesting.
YOU CAN WORK REALLY HARD AT THE WRONG THING This is one of the cruelest realities of entrepreneurship. Ouch! Lord knows I've been there many, many times.
You can be incredibly productive and still be unprofitable. You can spend six hours creating content that nobody needs. You can attend three networking events where you never tell anyone what you actually sell. You can redesign your website because you don't like the font. You can create a brand-new offer because the old one "isn't working." You can post every day and still have an empty pipeline.
Why? Because activity isn't the same thing as revenue-producing activity.
That's the first mindset shift. “How hard am I working?” to “Which activities are actually creating qualified conversations, sales, and clients?” That's a CEO question.
SOLUTION #1: CONDUCT A “REVENUE AUTOPSY”
Forget the vision board for five minutes. We're going to perform an autopsy. Take the last 90 days. Look at every dollar that came into your business. Then trace it backward.
Where did that client come from?
What caused them to reach out?
What problem did they want solved?
What words did they use?
What made them trust you?
What did they buy?
Why did they buy it?
How long did it take?
What did you do immediately before the sale?
Next, look at the opposite. Where did you spend enormous amounts of time that produced zero revenue? That's your Revenue Autopsy. And it can be brutally illuminating because you may discover something you weren't expecting:
The thing you thought was marketing isn't actually marketing. It's activity. There's a difference.
SOLUTION #2: STOP ASKING, “WHO'S MY IDEAL CLIENT?”
This question has been too death and completely worthless. You don't need fictional woman named Sarah who is 47, drinks Chardonnay, has two kids, owns a golden retriever, makes $125,000 a year, and "values freedom." She's fictional. Your revenue isn't coming from a fictional woman. It's coming from real people making real purchasing decisions.
The better question is...“Who has already demonstrated a willingness to pay for this problem I solve?”
Look at your past buyers. Look at the clients who got results. Look at the people who almost bought. Look at discovery calls. Look at reviews. Look at conversations. Look at objections. Look at what people search for. Look at what they say when they're frustrated. Find the evidence.
FeMetis calls this customized market research, and it goes far beyond the standard demographic and psychographic checklist. The goal is to uncover the exact words, phrases, behaviors, objections, urgency, and purchasing intent surrounding the problem you solve. That's not guessing. That's intelligence.
SOLUTION #3: FIND THE TRANSLATION GAP
Here's one of my favorite business problems to uncover. You know exactly what you do. Your buyer doesn't. You say, “I help women optimize their visibility strategy.” Your buyer says, “I'm posting constantly and it isn't turning into clients.” Those two statements might describe the exact same problem, but only one sounds like something your buyer would actually say.
That's the translation gap.
The space between what YOU call the problem and what your BUYER calls the problem. The translation gap costs you money. A lot of it.
FeMetis specifically uses market research to identify those language differences and translate the findings into messaging, offers, positioning, content, and sales conversations.
So, before you decide your offer isn't selling make sure your buyer understands what you're selling in their own words.
SOLUTION #4: STOP CREATING MORE CONTENT
Blasphemy. I know, hear me out. If you've been "showing up consistently" for months and you're still saying, “Where are the clients?”
your problem may not be consistency. It may be relevance. More content doesn't automatically create more clients. More content that sounds exactly like what your market has been trying to articulate? Now we're talking.
You're currently asking, “What should I post today?” Instead, "What did my market say this week that tells me what they need to hear?”
That's a completely different content strategy and it means your content doesn't have to increase...your precise use of your market's language does.
One of the core FeMetis principles is that customized market research can reduce the endless rewriting and second-guessing of messaging because you're working from evidence instead of gut instinct. That's how you get off the content hamster wheel.
SOLUTION #5: LOOK AT YOUR OFFER BEFORE YOU BLAME YOUR AUDIENCE
Here's a fun little entrepreneurial habit...when something doesn't sell, we immediately blame the audience.
“They don't understand.”
“They don't value it.”
“They're broke.”
“They're not ready.”
“They just don't get it.”
Let's investigate before we start prosecuting your market.
You must be able to answer, "Does my offer solve a problem people actually want solved?" Not a problem you think they should care about. A problem they're actively motivated to solve.
Then, ask,
❓ Is the outcome of my offer specific enough?
❓ Is the value obvious?
❓ Is the language familiar to market?
❓ Is the price aligned with the perceived value?
❓ Is the buying process easy?
❓ Have you demonstrated evidence?
❓ Are you talking to people who actually have the problem?
This is where customized research becomes incredibly useful.
FeMetis' market research framework specifically looks at urgency, purchasing intent, desired outcomes, objections, and whether the offer, price, and format align with actual market demand. This beats throwing another offer at the wall EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
SOLUTION #6: TRACK THE MONEY, NOT JUST THE METRICS THAT MAKE YOU FEEL GOOD
🤗 Followers feel good.
🤗 Likes feel good.
🤗 Comments feel good.
🤗 Reach feels good.
🤗 A viral post feels really good.
But none of those put money in the bank.
Start tracking...
ㆍQualified leads
ㆍSales conversations
ㆍConversion rate
ㆍAverage sale
ㆍContribution profit
ㆍClient acquisition source
ㆍRepeat purchases
ㆍReferrals
ㆍTime spent acquiring each client
Those numbers tell a story. If you don't have the data? Start collecting it.
FeMetis explicitly recommends tracking metrics such as qualified leads, conversion rate, average sale price, direct delivery costs, incremental contribution profit, and ROI when evaluating whether market research and coaching are producing financial results.
Data puts money in your bank account.
SOLUTION #7: CREATE A “STOP DOING” LIST
This may be my favorite. Everyone has a to-do list. Almost nobody has a stop-doing list. Create one.
Put these on it if they're not producing a measurable business result:
❌ Rewriting your bio for the 19th time.
❌ Creating content nobody is responding to.
❌ Attending networking events solely to collect business cards.
❌ Building another freebie nobody asked for.
❌ Changing your niche every 30 days.
❌ Buying another course because you're uncomfortable implementing the last one.
❌ Redesigning your website because you're bored.
❌ Trying every marketing tactic someone on Instagram says is "the secret."
❌ Saying yes to opportunities that have nothing to do with your actual business goals.
❌ What else do you need to add to this list that isn't producing results?
Your calendar is telling the truth. Listen to it.
At FeMetis, priority management is emphasized over traditional time management, with the goal of focusing your calendar on activities that are relevant to your market, business, and goals. The fastest way to make more money is to stop wasting time on things that don't make money. Imagine the relief!
SOLUTION #8: STOP BUILDING A BUSINESS THAT REQUIRES YOU TO BE ON FIRE EVERY DAY
This one matters because there's a dangerous belief floating around entrepreneurship, “If you really want it, you'll work harder.” Nope.
Working harder is exactly what keeps you trapped.
If your business requires:
Constant posting
Constant networking
Constant selling
Constant availability
Constant launches
Constant hustling
to generate inconsistent revenue... you don't have a revenue problem. You have a business model problem.
The goal's to build a business that creates income without consuming your entire life. That's central to the FeMetis philosophy: more income without more hours, greater control over schedule and workload, and a business designed around the entrepreneur's life rather than the other way around.
SOLUTION #9: GET OUT OF THE ECHO CHAMBER
Stop asking other entrepreneurs what they think your buyers want. Seriously.
Your business bestie is not your market.
Your mastermind partner is not your market.
Your coach's market is not your market.
Your partner is not your market.
And the woman in a Facebook group who has never purchased from you?
Definitely not your market research department.
✮Go directly to the source.
✮Talk to buyers.
✮Interview them.
✮Study their reviews.
✮Read their conversations.
✮Study search behavior.
✮Analyze competitor conversations.
✮Mine communities.
✮Look at discovery calls.
✮Find the actual language.
If you want to know what your market wants...ask your market. It's that simple.
SOLUTION #10: CHANGE THE QUESTION
This might be the biggest shift of all.
“Why am I not making money?” is probably the most common question female entrepreneurs ask themselves. This question is too broad.
The better questions are...
“Where exactly is the revenue process breaking?” Is it, Visibility?
Nobody knows you exist. Relevance?
They see you but don't recognize themselves. Trust?
They understand the problem but don't believe you're the right person. Offer?
They want the outcome but don't want what you're selling. Conversion?
They' re interested but don't buy. Follow-up?
They were interested but disappeared. Delivery?
One is helpless. The other is a business decision.
AND HERE'S THE REALLY UNCOMFORTABLE PART...
You may not need more clients. You may need better clients.
You may not need more leads. You may need a better offer.
You may not need more content. You may need better language.
You may not need more followers. You may need better conversion.
You may not need more hours. You may need better priorities.
You may not need another strategy. You may need to actually implement the one you already know works.
And you may not need more motivation. You may need evidence.
SO... ARE YOU REALLY HAVING “BAD LUCK”? Let's retire that phrase. Not because your struggle isn't real. It is “Bad luck” gives you absolutely nothing to work with.
Diagnosis does.
Data does.
Market research does.
A revenue autopsy does.
A stop-doing list does.
Better positioning does.
Better messaging does.
A stronger offer does.
A controlled calendar does.
A CEO mindset does.
And sometimes? A brutally honest outside perspective does.
THE UNCENSORED INTEL
If you've been at this “for a bit” and you're not seeing the financial results you expected...
Don't work harder. 🚫
Don't post more. 🚫
Don't slash your prices. 🚫
Don't launch another offer. 🚫
Don't change your logo. 🚫
Don't declare that nobody is buying. 🚫
Don't blame yourself. 🚫 [I can't stress one enough!]
These work...
✅Investigate.
✅Find the leak.
✅Find the evidence.
✅Find the language.
✅Find the disconnect.
✅Find the activity that's actually producing revenue.
✅Then, fix those because you've been operating with incomplete information.
That's good news because luck is unpredictable. A business problem can be investigated. And once you know what's actually happening?
You don't need luck. You need a decision. That's the difference between hoping your business works and building a business that works on purpose.
One Last Question
The next time you catch yourself saying, “I've been at this for a bit and I'm just not having any financial luck.” Stop. Take a breath and ask yourself, “What's the actual business problem hiding underneath it?” Now that's a question worth paying attention to and worth paying to solve.
